End of a Good Year

The end of the year is quickly approaching and as I look back on all that has happened I feel good. Makayla is talking better and better everyday. After a month of present opening she has pretty much everything, lol. For Christmas she received a small wooden desk which I put together 2 times. The first time was for a right handed child, which I promptly took apart and reassembled for my lovely left-handed daughter. The first time was for practice. I finally raised my GPA back up to a 2.6 which is good enough to enter the next step on my college plan. I will be starting the accelerated Elementary Education program through HLG this spring. Heather will be graduating in May of 2011 from the same program and we hope she finds a job as a teacher. Until next time!!!

Only one more week of college! 2 finals and I can relax for nearly a month. There is still alot going on though. Heather starts her student teaching in Jan YAY! She graduates in May and I know she will have a job for the following school year. I am super excited for her and it will definitely help out alot. Looking forward to May! It is so close!!!

Totally forgot I had this blog! Life has been busy as of late. Makayla is beginning the explosion of speech that Heather and I have been waiting for. It seems like 2-3 words per day are completely new!!! During the summer I had some problems with my Xbox. I wasnt lucky enough to get the RROD so I tried to fix it myself since it was out of warranty. No luck with the washer trick but I am back in the game with a 360 slim that runs cooler and quieter. Still a firm believer in not playing games while Kay is up, however she gets out the pink 360 controller all the time by herself. Looks like i might be raising a gamer girl! YAY

There is so much to do now! So many people want to come see my baby! It feels great to be a dad! Then only thing i can complain about is i have to go back to work for 2 days before christmas break. Boo! I want to spend as much time with her as i can with my girls. It is my anniversary today and im so glad i was able to have off to spend the day with Heather.

Makayla was born yesterday! 12:46 pm 8Lbs. 1Oz. 19.25 in. Brown hair blue eyes. She is so beautiful!! More updates later.

Sickness

Well i found out that i have strep throat. The day before Heathers c-sec. This is crazy!!! I'm feeling better but i wont be non contagious till 530!! I have to where a mask and gloves to hold my baby.

Break

Well this is the first thanksgiving break i have not had to work! I was able to go out early on black friday and attempt to shop at walmart. That was a mistake... but i should have known that already. Everyone and their mother was there, pushing and shoving and what not. I left as quick as i could and got back in bed with my still pregnant wife. After cramping and contractions all night with no signs of water breakage, we are still 2 and not 3. I would really like to hold my baby now, but i will probablly have to wait till Dec. 9 for the scheduled c-section. I am ready to be done with the pregnancy.

I finally finished that map pack and turned it in. I was up till 445 the morning before it was due but i got it turned in. I was very tired that next day, but I was able to go to bed on time the next night! Eddie at work is letting me borrow Fable 2 because he already beat it. It is amazing all then new stuff they put into this one!

I got a new switch for the DVD and Wii today because the auto sensing switch i have had for 2 years finally started crappin out. I think i will stick to manual switches from now on. The old switch was "auto" switching between components that were not even turned on which would happen at the most in opportune time, say for instance in the middle of an active game or a dvd movie when an important scene was playing out. You would have to pause rewind and replay after about 30 seconds of switch... I know it was getting on my nerves so i know Heather was pissed about it too.

Going to child birth classes tomorrow! We were slipped in on a full saturday class, but it definatly beats 4 individual trips to Cape Girardeau. Although in good news: Gas is 1.79 and 1.76 with Kroger discount so fill up tomorrow before the trip.

Still working on these identification/maps... they were due Nov. 7 but im gonna turn them in late. I need at least a 50 to pass the course with a C if i get 88 on both of the next 2 tests. ARGGG! Well i really should get back to work.

I did get a chance to play with my brother this weekend though. That was nice.

This is actually me taking a break from all the home work! So some unknown reason my professor has us handwriting out "Identifications" well it started out being geographically related but then somehow is now on to famous people around the world. I know that a large part of geography is about human-environment interactions but only about 14 of the 66 are actually related, the rest are famous or infamous peoples.

sorry lady this is not a history class about how all these people caused problems in different geographical locations. This is about how we interact with those geographical elements around us!

No time for fun and games tonight i'm on like 41 of 66 and then i have to complete some maps. The maps will be a breeze but not so much the rest of these crappy people that screwed up my world!

On an scarier note... we made an emergency trip to the hospital today. The doc thought that Heather might be going into labor early. Turns out to be some infection that she can get over without meds! Yay!!! but had to hurt my wife to find out... Boo
